UPMC unveils new website for registration of COVID-19 vaccine – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Health experts are constantly pushing for people who are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19. And now, here in Pittsburgh, there’s a new tool for you to use when it’s your turn.

UPMC has created a website where you can register for the COVID-19 vaccine if you meet the Pennsylvania Phase 1-A guidelines.

Remember that registration does not mean that you will receive the vaccine immediately, but will be put on a waiting list and UPMC will contact you about scheduling an appointment when a vaccine is available.

You do no you must be a UPMC insured to be placed on the waiting list and receive the vaccine through the UPMC.

UPMC reiterates that the supply of vaccines from the state and federal government is still limited and is encouraging the public to be patient.

Meanwhile, the UPMC emphasizes that it wants to vaccinate as many people as possible as soon as the healthcare system receives more doses.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki spoke to the nation about the limited supply of vaccines on Sunday morning.

We hope to recover quickly this week, fill that accumulation, ensure that they reach the communities and also meet our deadlines and dose schedules that are due out next week, ”said Psaki.

If you don’t have access to the internet. you can call UPMC between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, seven days a week, at 844-876-2822.

An operator will register you over the phone, and then you will be contacted about scheduling an appointment when the photo is available.

UPMC expects a lot of people to call, so if you can register online, they are stressing you out.
