UPDATE Paul McCartney dances a dance while Billboard confirms our prediction: “McCartney III” first place in 31 years *

As I said on Friday, Paul McCartney’s “McCartney III” debuts at number 1. The numbers were confirmed by Buzz Angle on Friday.

This morning Billboard announced that it would give the album number 1 on its next stop. It is Paul’s first number 1 in 31 years, since “Flowers in the Dirt”.

McCartney’s “Egypt Station” reached number one in 2018, but was sold as part of a package with tickets for the tour.

“McCartney III” is very good and deserves praise.

Sir Paul danced a little on social media to celebrate.
