Upcoming series and movies by Barack and Michelle Obama for Netflix

No one can accuse the Obamas of being weak: Netflix has revealed an extensive list of upcoming projects by President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions.

The announcement includes two new series: Firefighter’s Daughter, based on Angeline Boulley’s debut novel YA about an 18-year-old native girl who reluctantly hides in a police investigation in her Ojibwe reserve; and the docuseries Great National Parks, which explores some of the most wonderful national parks and wilderness spaces on the planet.

In addition, the Obamas are producing four new films for the streamer: West exitstarring Riz Ahmed (The night of) in a love story set in an epic global migration made possible by a supernatural phenomenon; the sci-fi movie Satellite; the true story based Tenzing, about Tenzing Norgay, the man who first reached the summit of Everest; and The young wife, who follows Celestina, 29, on her first wedding day.

* Bravo renewed The real housewives of Salt Lake City for a second season. The first season’s three-part meeting will begin on Wednesday, February 10 at 10 / 9c.

* AND! will debut the new reality show Survived with Lisa Vanderpump on Thursday, March 18, at 9 pm. (The program moves to 10 pm the following week.) In each half-hour episode, “Lisa invites viewers to her extravagant garden in Villa Rosa for an open-air evening full of unexpected surprises and revealing moments, presenting two three celebrities invited to an unforgettable night full of cocktails, games and delicious banquets prepared entirely by Lisa ”, according to the official synopsis. Celebrity guests include Iggy Azalea, Jeff Lewis, Joel McHale, Lala Kent, Margaret Cho, Mario Lopez, Sheryl Underwood, Steve-O and Tori Spelling, among others.

* Terry O’Quinn (Lost), Gil Birmingham (Yellowstone) and Calum Worthy (The Act, American Vandal) joined the Netflix thriller Pieces of itstarring Toni Collette and Bella Heathcote.

* Starz has green light The serpent queen, an eight-episode series that explores the black legend of Catarina de Medici, based on the book Catarina de Médicis: Queen of the French Renaissance by Leonie Frieda.

* The four-part documentary Allen v. Farrow, narrating the ugly legal battle between ex-famous ex-boyfriends Woody Allen and Mia Farrow, opens on Sunday, February 21 at 9 pm on HBO. Watch a teaser:
