Upcoming Nintendo Switch games and accessories for February and March 2021 – Guide

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser Fury

We are now a full month in 2021 and it is becoming clearer with each passing day that this year could end up being ‘2020: Part Deux’. The good players in the world are in need of more fun than ever and, fortunately, there are some Switch games with a rather fabulous appearance coming in the next two months to lift your spirits (and lighten your wallets).

Below, we have collected the biggest games and accessories that came to retail in February and March 2021. Super Mario 3D World is Nintendo’s first major release of the year and we can’t wait to dive headfirst into the new Bowser’s Fury content. At the end of the two-month period, we have Monster Hunter Rise bringing the rear. Many hours of quality just with these two, then, but there are more considerable versions to choose from if cats and monsters are not your purse.

Then, grab a hot cup of something and settle down with a comfortable blanket. Let’s take a look at the major retail releases that will arrive on the Switch in the coming months and beyond …

One of the Wii U ports we’ve all been waiting for, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will offer an enhanced experience that expands on the original 2013 platform game with new content. There’s a double pack of Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo arriving the same day, so expect a burst of cuteness and a chance to enjoy this great title again when it finally arrives on Switch.

Japanese switch owners got their hands on this hack-and-slash Dynasty warriors crossover in the form of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers in February 2020, and is now finally scheduled for a western release with a small name change.

While it may not be the Persona 5 game that fans have been waiting for, we saw some excellent Warriors crosses in the form of Fire emblem warriors and more recently Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. This has the potential to be an equally tasty mix, so while we’re still waiting for Atlus to bring the appropriate P5 to the Nintendo console, we’re intrigued to see what Omega Force has in store for us.

Bravely Default II slid from its original release date to early 2021, but Square Enix’s sequence is one for fans of the original 3DS, or anyone with a taste for traditional-style JRPG and turn-based gameplay.

If you are intrigued by what you see, there is a demo available on Switch eShop that should give you an idea if Bravely Default is your preference or not. Check out.

The next Marvelous chapter in the Story of Seasons life / farm series will put you to work growing a farm near the main port of Olive Town. The game promises more customization options and more freedom than ever to help you live your best life, plus many more wedding candidates, of course, and you’ll have your work cut out to make space in the forest for your new home and cultivating all the abundant natural wonders nearby.

A 3D action platform game by Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima, perhaps best known as the creators of a Sonic the Hedgehog, Balan Wonderworld brings back fond memories of 3D SEGA games like Nights in dreams on Saturn and Billy Hatcher and the giant egg on the GameCube. It is a multiplatform launch and we are looking forward to exploring its colorful environments on the Switch.

Described as “a new approach to the Monster Hunter experience”, up to four players can come together and save the Kamura village from the impending ‘Rampage’, taking advantage of the new Wirebug hunting tool and enlisting the help of Palicoes and Palamutes along the way . The ‘Rise’ in the title is apparently a reference to the verticality of this entrance, with the ability to cross and climb rock faces and other terrains that will make hunting even more interesting.

A free, limited-time demo was available throughout January – check out our impressions in this Monster Hunter Rise demo video by adorable Alex.
