E3 2006 was a great event for Nintendo. Having formally unveiled its GameCube successor in 2005 under the code name “Revolution”, E3 marked the first time that the press had formal permission to try the Nintendo Wii. If you’ve ever been curious to see how it looks, several videos are already online.
Launched by Twitter account Forest Of Illusion, there are a lot of footage here to watch, divided into 32 separate videos. The most interesting thing is that they loaded an hour before Super Mario Galaxy gameplay, which was not released until November 2007.
Wii Sports, Wii Play and Wii Music can also be seen among others and these new uploads also feature an unprecedented Wii Sports: Airplane demo. Although the Wii was the star of Nintendo’s show, several DS demos are also present, including first glances at Star Fox Command, Final Fantasy III and Yoshi DS Island.
