The Unova Region Celebration Event celebrates the first Pokémon found in the Unova region. From 01/05/2021 to 01/10/2021, the Pokémon of the Unova region will appear in increasing numbers. For more information on other January events, check out our January Events in Pokémon GO (2020) article.
The Unova Celebration event is part of a series of events that celebrate various regions of the Pokémon world. The series ends with the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto event in February 2021. The previous event in the series was the Kalos Celebration event.

Unova Celebration Raids
The following Pokémon will be available in Raids during the event:
One-star attacks – Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Timburr, Dwebble and Klink will appear in one-star raids.
Three-star attacks – Herdier, Tranquill, Excadrill and Amoonguss will appear in three-star raids.
Five-star attacks – Genesect holding a Burn Drive will appear in five star raids. This will be the first time that this form of Genesect will appear on Pokémon GO, so be sure to catch it while you have a chance! Please note that the shiny form of this Genesect will not be available during this event.
Mega Raids – Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blastoise and Mega Abomasnow will appear in Mega Raids, with Mega Charizard Y becoming even more powerful from Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 10 am until Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 10 am local time .
