A huge fighter ballot Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC remains dominated by an unlikely video game franchise with several characters among the most voted.
It seems that any character can join the Smash Bros. cast these days, and Ultimate brought most newbies of third-party titles to the list.
Nintendo’s flagship fighter is no longer limited to its own IPs for many third parties, such as Persona’s Joker, Minecraft Steve, Cloud, Sonic, Solid Snake and more. Of course, Nintendo really meant that by creating the Ultimate slogan “everyone is here”.
Now, a huge fan vote has been created, where players can vote for who they want to see in the game as the next DLC. Although the content of Fighters Pass Volume 2 has already been decided, in the event of a third approval, Nintendo could take these votes into account.

Who will be the next character with an invitation to Smash?
The Global Smash Roster is a highly organized and simple to use website that allows users to vote for possible DLC fighters. All of them are presented in a way that mimics the Smash character selection screen, making it super unique.
That said, one character was far ahead of everyone else, leading by almost 1,000 votes. This character is the Team Fortress 2 Heavy.
Valve’s Team Fortress 2 remains an iconic shooter with a player base still active today and it seems that fans really think it deserves a place in Smash history, giving Heavy more than 3,000 votes.

Heavy is miles ahead of Crash Bandicoot.
To put it in context, Crash Bandicoot is in second place with just over 2,000, behind the TF2 star. Waluigi and Rayman are tied for third and fourth place, with about 20 votes separating the two.
While this in itself is quite interesting, even more characters from TF2 complete the top 12 in votes, as both Scout and Soldier received more than 1,200 votes each. With this, the two manage to defeat popular candidates like Geno, Master Chief, Tails and Sora.
Could this mean that TF2 could reach Smash on a third Fighters Pass? Although unlikely, strange things happened, like Piranha Plant becoming a playable fighter.

Sora has less than 1,000 votes so far.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Smash, as the next DLC fighter is scheduled to be revealed in March. Some theories suggest that Crash Bandicoot will enter the fight, but Nintendo has yet to confirm those rumors.
In any case, hopefully, all major candidates will have some kind of Smash representation in the near future.
