It took 10 days – TEN DAYS – but, finally, the United Airlines passenger who hovered over a dying man infected with COVID for 45 minutes administering CPR was contacted, reporting that he was exposed to the virus.
Tony Aldapa told TMZ, he got a call on Thursday night from the LA County Department of Public Health … reporting what we’ve been telling and showing for a week – that the passenger he was trying to save had the virus and died soon after the plane made an emergency landing.
It’s a scary case of passing the ball. Despite the fact that the COVID-positive man has lost his sense of taste and smell and has difficulty breathing – something of his wife let out during an in-flight emergency – United has not notified any passengers that they could have been exposed.

A United spokesman told us this it wasn’t their job to notify passengers. Instead, the airline gave its flight manifest to the CDC, stating that the agency would contact passengers.
The CDC then told us that they were passing on the information to local health authorities. Finally, 10 days after the exhibition … Tony was notified.
Tony, a paramedic, had some symptoms similar to those of COVID, but the test was negative and he is feeling better.
Here is the scariest part … the COVID-positive passenger flew with 178 other passengers, some of whom may be returning home for the Christmas holidays, but none of them were notified in a timely manner so they could take steps to protect their friends and family.
