Chapel Hill, NC – Many people were frustrated with the way vaccines were administered across the Triangle. Some sites have had to refuse elderly people who wait in long lines. Others were forced to wait in line for more than 5 hours.

On Monday, UNC Health is opening its vaccine clinics, but does not expect long lines. People will have to make appointments before arriving at the clinic.
On Monday morning, 850 people will be vaccinated at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill.
More than 10,000 coronavirus vaccine consultations are scheduled at UNC Health clinics this week for people aged 65 and over.
Appointments are full this week, so health officials suggest that you come back next week for more appointments. If UNC receives more doses of vaccine, more consultations will be opened.
