UNC-Duke: Roy Williams Postgame

CHAPEL HILL, NC – North Carolina got a 26-6 lead over rival Duke on Senior Night and never looked back, winning 91-73. The closest Blue Devils got was 12 points, as three different Tar Heels scored 18 points and Garrison Brooks added 14 points in his final game at the Smith Center.

Armando Bacot established dominance on the post below. UNC has a significant size advantage over Duke and the second big one used it to his advantage. He finished with 18 points and six rebounds. He also hit 6 out of 7 on the free-throw line. Kerwin Walton, who had struggled hard to shoot in the last few games, also made 18 points out of 6 out of 9 shots and dropped four points out of three. As a team, UNC shot 8 out of 18 in the background.

Love completed the trio with 18 points. He also had the season record of seven assists for the third time this year. Brooks, the oldest 1.80 m, had a record of two trios this season, one of which was a faded shot in the corner when the kick clock expired.

Everything was going to Tar Heels on Saturday, when he overcame 20 losses and swept his rival in the regular season for the second time in three years. Duke tossed 41 percent (28-69 FG) of the ground and 19 percent (5-27 3FG) of three.
