UFC President Dana White comments on Gina Carano’s resignation from the ‘Mandalorian’

UFC President Dana White spoke about the dismissal of former MMA fighter Gina Carano from the “Mandalorian”.

Carano has fought on Strikeforce and EliteXC with a winning record before ending his career in 2009 to continue as an actor. She was recently fired after two seasons in the “Star Wars” spinoff series, after posts she made on social media generated reaction from her followers.

According to the New York Post, White was asked about Carano’s current situation on Saturday at UFC 258, where he explained that he believes she simply made a mistake with her online presence.

“Leave her alone. We make mistakes, we all make mistakes”, White said. “For everyone to participate in it … I love how Ariel Helwani did everything about him, so d ——.”

“As a Jew, and as a human being, it just doesn’t go well,” he says in the video, shared on his Instagram. “And I wish she never posted it. And frankly, I wish someone had talked to her about her social media posts last year. Some of them weren’t even political. In general, they seemed strange to me. I’m sorry that she has followed this path. “

GINA CARANO IS KILLED FOR SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS, ‘CURRENTLY NOT EMPLOYED’ BY ‘STAR WARS’

Carano played Cara Dune in seven episodes of “The Mandalorian” in the first two seasons in 2019 and 2020. She was said to be the center of the next “Mandalorian” spin-off “Rangers of the New Republic” on Disney +, but Disney did not announced the casting for the show.

Carano, for his part, has already moved on to another project. The actress-turned fighter has partnered with the Daily Wire for a new film project that she says she has been dreaming of developing and producing for some time.

“Daily Wire is helping to make one of my dreams come true – to develop and produce my own film -” the star told Deadline in a statement. “I screamed and my prayer was answered. I am sending a direct message of hope to everyone who lives in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian crowd. I have just started using my voice, which is now more free than ever, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t allow it. “
