FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida. – An Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts fighter is accused of stabbing his two sisters on Thursday morning while they slept in a guest room in his apartment.
An arrest report says Irwin Rivera, 31, told investigators that a “higher power” told him to stab them.
Rivera is known as “The Beast”. According to prison records, he remained in Palm Beach County Prison on Friday morning on two counts of premeditated attempted murder.
An arrest report says several neighbors and a victim called 911 earlier to report the stabbing at Rivera’s Boynton Beach home on Thursday morning.
He was arrested hours later.
