The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will join a special midweek fight card in an already hectic week of combat sports with the UFC Fight Island 8 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which takes place TODAY (Wednesday, January 20, 2021) by ESPN + and ESPN from inside the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The main responsibilities lie with middleweight contenders Michael Chiesa and Neil Magny, who are fighting for a spot in the 170-pound title dispute. In the main UFC Fight Island 8 co-event, the hot and cold welterweight Warlley Alves is finally looking to fulfill his potential opposite to UFC debutant Mounir Lazzez.

Round 1: Jones opens with an attempt to kick backwards, then they hit the center. Davis tries a kick to the head. Heavy body kick for right cross, blocked Brazilian kick. Again with the 3-2 low-high. Jones 1-2. The same combination as Davis. A minute later. Strong counterattack to Davis’s right, another shot of liver attracts a smile. Jones returns with a jab in combination. Consistent action so far, exchanges favoring Davis. He gets a low kick for a takedown, hits some hard kicks on the mat before Jones appears. Jones takes a fall after hitting a low kick. Davis 1-2, gives a kick in the calf that seems to bother him. Low kick for side kick. Jones riding combos, denies falling. He tries a calf kick, but is knocked down two minutes from the end.
Jones gets up again and the two throw their right hand on the counterattack. Kick spinning backwards, devours the right hand in response. They tie themselves up and he hits a knee. One minute left. Jones continues to aim at the calf, hits a 1-2 and an uppercut before giving up on another fall. Davis tries a kick to the head as they split up, then hits a flying knee. 10-9 Davis.

135 pounds: Umar Nurmagomedov and Sergey Morozov
Round 1: Nurmagomedov opens with kicks, as expected. Left hook Morozov fails, eats a kick in the leg. A minute later. Nurmagomedov continues to threaten with high kicks. It slides 1-2. Knee and right hand. Morozov with an overhand accountant. A direct shot by Nurmagomedov, he looks at his back, he succeeds, although Morozov moves well. Nurmagomedov throwing a backpack two minutes later, he loses the hooks, he can’t get the suplex. Continuing to chase the fall, great control while Morozov fights, but they end up breaking up. Round 2: Nurmagomedov immediately reels Morozov with a kick to the head, fails to send him to the mat with follow-ups. Morozov seems to recover his senses, denies the fall. A minute later. Looking for that kick in the head again, hits a good body kick. Hook against right. Low kick. Morozov tries a kick in the leg, receives a nasty check. Nurmagomedov hits another fall and looks back again. He is very tall and Morozov slides two minutes later. Nurmagomedov kicks under a cross from the right and hits the defense on foot. Morozov tries another granby roll escape, but now Nurmagomedov is in a bigger position with the two hooks. Two minutes to go.
Nurmagomedov unscrewing the RNC more and more. Morozov struggles with everything he has, but the lights go out.

125 pounds: Manon Fiorot vs. Victoria Leonardo
Round 1: Fiorot sends side kicks, avoids punches and a shot to Leonardo’s head. The left hand lands for her. Another side kick. Sick head kick soon after, then a 2-1 minute inside. Leonardo failing with his punches so far. Right hook Fiorot. Leonardo gives a body kick and eats a retaining hook. Body kick. Two minutes later. Sending kicks, unable to tie, he eats his knees. Fiorot takes her to the fence, with his right hand at the break. Strong side kick connects. Two minutes to go.
Kick in Fiorot’s head blocked, 1-2 fails. Leonardo tries to kick her, runs in and is placed against the fence. Fiorot’s knees before they parted. The staggering three-piece Leonardo and Fiorot try to keep up. Clean 1-2. A minute later. Fiorot places it on top of the fence and hits the blow with his elbow. Right hook behind a punch from Superman. Right hook again. 10-9 Fiorot.
Round 2: More Fiorot kicks, clean right hook. Counter 2-1. Leonardo continues to shoot, but struggles with range. Side kick again by Fiorot. 1-2, picture, right hand a minute later. Leonardo seeks a reactive shot, denied. Fiorot with a jab two minutes later, continuing to advance. Left nasty counter. Fiorot takes her to the fence and looks for a fall, takes half-guard. Two minutes to go.
Fiorot puts the guard down a little, then releases her. Check the hook. Sharp left, check the hook. One minute left. Leonardo and Fiorot kick in the head and unload with punches until the referee takes action.
Final result: Fiorot def. Leonardo by TKO (kick to the head and punches)
