UConn, South Carolina, is the female champion of the Battle 4 Atlantis women’s tournament

Former national champions UConn and South Carolina are among the 12 teams in the inaugural Battle 4 Atlantis women’s basketball tournament.

The three-day event will be held from November 20 to 22, 2021, on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

Other teams set to compete include the NCAA Oregon, South Florida and Syracuse 2021 tournament teams, as well as Buffalo, Minnesota and Oklahoma.

The Battle 4 Atlantis men’s tournament started in 2011.

The women’s event was scheduled to debut in 2020, but both tournaments were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
