Ubisoft + may be the most recent subscription service to be absorbed in Microsoft’s Game Pass, according to Jez Corden, editor of Windows Central.
The rumor has been silenced by some insiders since early December, but has not been confirmed or even commented on by anyone at Microsoft itself. But now Corden, commenting on the rumor that the Ubisoft service will line up with the Game Pass in late 2021, says that “it has a great chance of being true based on things [they’d] heard “.
Ubisoft’s subscription service is called Ubisoft +, and is similar to Game Pass in that it offers players access to a downloadable game library in exchange for a subscription fee. EA operates a similar service, EA Play, and was also recently added to the Game Pass.
I imagine it would be a safe or a smaller slice of old games, but more crazy things happened. I always thought EA Play would be an extra layer of Game Pass, but they just brought that bad boy. I think we’ll see.

Ubisoft + and EA Play only give you access to games developed or published directly by Ubisoft or EA, and usually don’t add the biggest releases until months after launch.
The Game Pass, on the other hand, offers original Microsoft games along with many third-party titles as well, offering a much larger library, even without EA Play games. The Game Pass also frequently includes games on launch day.
Meanwhile, the launch of EA Play for Game Pass on the PC was due to arrive in December, but has been postponed until the beginning of this year. December was most successful for the console version of Game Pass, with nearly 20 major titles being added to the service.
