Ubisoft removed the newly added decorations and missions from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla after the content caused players’ systems to crash.
The Ostara Festival arrived in Ravensthorpe earlier this week as part of Valhalla’s free seasonal content. Running until April 8, it features the return of drinks, bow and arrow and mini fighting games and three new missions allow Eivor to hunt eggs, fight the spirits of the night and become a Queen of May, but they are the new nesting decorations that are causing a little difficulty.
“We are aware of the increasing number of crashes in and around Ravensthorpe since the launch of Title Update 1.2.0,” Ubisoft said in a demonstration on your social media channels over the weekend. “Our team is working on a solution that should be ready by next week. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.”
A permanent fix is expected “soon”, but for now the team has added a server-side hotfix to “resolve an increase in crashes near Ravensthorpe” by removing the decorations from the settlements and the Ostara Festival missions involving decorations.

In case you missed it, Wrath of the Druids – the first major expansion of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – will be released on April 29.
Set in Ireland, a new country for the game, Wrath of the Druids will see heroine Valhalla Eivor tracking members of a Druidic cult called Children of Danu. You will also immerse yourself in Gaelic myths and folklore and meet even more local kings. The expansion is available to purchase separately or part of the game’s season pass.
