Two teams have responsibility for BetMGM

BetMGM is ahead of the NFL in eliminating teams this season. While eight teams are still alive to win the Super Bowl in the NFL postseason, BetMGM has already taken care of 30 of the 32 teams for their future bets.

Betting on an NFL team to win the Super Bowl is something that many punters appreciate, whether it’s just betting a few dollars on your favorite team or identifying a clear shot before the season starts. This future market is the most visible and popular one that exists.

That means the home needs to sweat a few teams on the way to the Super Bowl. Only two teams left can cause a loss to BetMGM.

Two teams can cost BetMGM by winning the Super Bowl

The two teams that BetMGM is still concerned with shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl last season and have superstars in attack, especially quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs opened at +650 to win the Super Bowl, and those chances dropped to +220. In the Super Bowl futures market, 29.9% of all money was in the Chiefs. They were 14-2 and were the number 1 seed in AFC.

The other responsibility of BetMGM is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs were a busy off-season team after signing Tom Brady and switching to Rob Gronkowski when he decided he would be out of retirement if he could play Brady again. The Buccaneers went 11-5 and will play against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Buccaneers’ odds started at +1600 and are still +900. With 11.5%, the Buccaneers had the second biggest money bet on them to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM.

If anyone, except the Chiefs or Buccaneers, wins everything, BetMGM will profit from all future Super Bowl tickets.

Six other teams were not popular with bettors

There was not much faith in the other six teams to win the Super Bowl this season. Here are the percentages of money that each of the other six teams raised for this season’s championship at BetMGM:

Green Bay Packers, 7.5%
Buffalo Bills, 5.9%
New Orleans Saints, 4.6%
Baltimore Ravens 3.8%
Los Angeles Rams, 2.3%
Cleveland Browns, 1.7%

There will be many more bets placed in the NFL playoffs before the Super Bowl LV is decided. But with eight teams left in the postseason, it is clear which sports betting teams don’t want to win it all.
