Two New York women trapped on an American Airlines flight

Two women from the Bronx diverted an American Airlines flight due to their “disturbing and unacceptable” behavior – including spitting on a passenger who asked them to stop using racial slander, according to reports.

Kelly Pichardo, 30, and Leeza Rodriguez, 29, were on board Flight 776 from Dallas-Fort Worth to Los Angeles on Wednesday, when a male passenger asked them to stop using offensive language in the conversation, CBS reported. DFW.

Pichardo allegedly spat on the man, who then started recording them, said the Phoenix police sergeant. Mercedes Fortune after the plane was diverted to Arizona’s Sky Harbor International Airport.

Rodriguez was also accused of hitting the man’s hand to prevent him from recording, Fortune said.

“Upon arrival, the flight was received by the local police, who removed and arrested two individuals for verbally and physically assaulting other customers and crew members,” American Airlines representative Derek Walls told The Post by email.

“Their behavior was disturbing and unacceptable, and they were put on the internal trash list while being investigated. We continue to investigate this incident and work directly with affected customers to ensure their well-being, ”said the airline.

“We thank our crew for their professionalism in managing a difficult situation,” he added.

Rodriguez has been charged with assault and disorderly conduct, while Pichardo faces charges of disorderly conduct, according to the media.

The flight continued to Los Angeles later and arrived without further incident.
