Black Ops Cold War is finally about to get a new zombie map, but the leak of 2 additional maps may confirm the launch of the second season.
Since launch, fans of Black Ops Cold War Zombies are somewhat lacking in content. In addition to Cranked and Jingle Hells modes, Treyarch’s latest Zombies mode has been somewhat neglected this time.
But all of that is about to change, as Firebase Z will join Die Maschine on the Cold War list in a few days. The second map looks like an incredibly interesting place, with a lot of new content to explore.
What’s more, there may be 2 more Cold War Zombie maps coming soon, as fans speculate about a new leak.
These maps were first presented in the official Firebase Z trailer, but you will have to look carefully to locate them.
Did the Black Ops Cold War zombie map leak out in the US?
Thanks to the new information revealed in Firebase Z, we know the location of 2 new zombie maps. One is a previously leaked Cold War site, Berlin, and the other Zombie map may well be defined in the USA.
During the trailer, just as the Aether Reactor fires, a map is visible on the wall monitors. And, as YouTuber TheGamingRevolution points out, there are some flashing lights to see.
These locations are labeled as ‘identified epidemic zones’, which appears to confirm that they are close locations on the map.
In fact, we’ve seen provocations like this before, because a similar map in the introduction of Die Maschine and the Cold War Zombies menu also indicates an outbreak in Berlin.

Given the location of Berlin’s red dot, fans really believe that we know what will come in the Cold War soon. Many users are predicting that Black Ops Cold War Zombies is getting a remake of Kino Der Toten as a DLC.
Of course, this Kino der Toten will likely use the old site and expand it, just like Die Maschine did with Nacht der Untoten. Regardless, we are looking forward to seeing what results from this leak.
Hopefully, this new map will come with yet another Wonder Weapon like the RAI K-84 from Firebase Z.
Black Ops Cold War Zombies Alcatraz Leak?
However, the other location on the map is definitely defined in North America, with fans believing it will be in San Francisco. This can confirm that Cold War Zombies is going to Alcatraz in a future update.
This location has already appeared in Blackout, Treyarch’s attempt at a real battle mode. It would not be far-fetched to imagine that the place could return, in the survival mode of the undead.
As for when these 2 new zombie maps could be released, TheGamingRevolution points out something interesting. At the end of a recent blog post, Treyarch indicated big plans for Zombies in Season 2.
“Before we go, let’s leave them with this: what we are talking about today is just a glimpse of what is planned for Zombies in 2021. If you think you know what to expect in season two … something else.”
With that in mind, we can see the launch of both maps next season. After all, the 1st Cold War season brought us several zombie locations, and the 2nd season seems to be growing dramatically.
However, with a Cold War Zombie player recently falling in Round 506, we expect the new maps to be more stable than Die Maschine.
In the past, Treyarch confirmed a new zombie map in Season 2 of the Cold War. However, it is also possible that the developer was talking about Firebase Z, which was taken forward.
