Two brothers kill four family members and then kill themselves: police

Two brothers are accused of shooting four family members inside their Texas home before turning their guns on themselves, in a scary crime they planned months in advance, according to reports on Monday.

Police believe Farhan Towhid, 19, and his older brother Tanvir Towhid, 21, carried out the carnage on Saturday at the family home in Allen, according to Fox 4.

All six victims of the Bangladeshi family – including the brothers’ parents, sister and grandmother – were discovered by policemen killed with gunshot wounds during a welfare check at around 1 am on Monday, the report said.

A friend of Farhan’s told the police about a suicide note that Farhan had linked on Instagram, detailing how he and his brother plotted in February to kill their family and themselves if they couldn’t “fix everything,” reported CBS DFW .

Both brothers, who studied at UT Austin, struggled with depression, the note said.

“The plan was simple. We took two guns. I take one and shoot my sister and grandmother, while my brother kills our parents with the other. So we went out ourselves, ”wrote Farhan.

“If I killed only myself, they would be unhappy,” he wrote. “I love my family. I really do. And that’s exactly why I decided to kill them.”

On Monday, police identified the boy’s parents as Towhidul Islam, 54, and his wife, Iren Islam, 56.

Farhan’s twin sister, Farbin Towhid, had a full scholarship to NYU, FOX 4 reported.

The grandmother, Altafun Nessa, 77, was visiting from Bangladesh. She was due to return home next month, the report said.
