Despite being only six feet tall, Houston Rockets rookie KJ Martin is quickly becoming known for his inner defense and his presence in blocking shots.

In January, the young Houston athlete candidate rejected Dallas pivot Boban Marjanović – who is 2.10 m tall – right on the rim. On Friday, he did the same with Rudy Gobert, an 2.10-meter-high All-Star with Utah Jazz. Appropriately, Twitter users went crazy when he did. Martin is the son of Kenyon Martin, a 15-year-old NBA veteran and the No. 1 overall choice in the 2000 draft. As such, the youngest Martin is still learning at the professional level. With the lead team’s hopes of playoffs becoming extremely remote, their development should become a clear priority as the 2020-21 season progresses.
