Michael Chiesa remained perfect in the welterweight division on Saturday by beating Neil Magny in the UFC at the ESPN 20 main event.
Chiesa (18-4 MMA, 11-4 UFC) extended her run in the division to 4-0 when she won an unbalanced unanimous decision victory over Magny (24-8 MMA, 17-7 UFC) in the main clash, which took place in the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi is shown on ESPN2.
Check out the main reactions from Twitter to Chiesa’s victory over Magny in the UFC on ESPN 20.

Probably Chiesa needs a takedown to win, but it was perhaps the most polished striking I have ever seen.

Chiesa’s early fall attempt to start round 2, but Magny keeps her balance and has an underhook. # UFCFightIsland8

Tending well to Chiesa in this fight. The man who wins the clinch in this fight will be the winner. That man is @ MikeMav22

Cheisa is a crazy fighter. I love it so much.

Magny forces a fall in round 2 and pays for it by allowing Chiesa to take first place. Another round for Chiesa. 2-0.

Magny was available at +400 about 30 seconds ago. +169 and plummeting.

I can’t believe why these two guys don’t use judo techniques. Both are expensive. So much judo that they can do @ufc

This is another reason why aggressive elbows would serve him well: Chiesa was able to keep Magny consistently for the first two rounds, but her inability to finish him means that the time spent on top is wasted if Magny is still the coolest man – as Chiesa noticed at the top as I type

Magny’s decision making in this fight is costing him dearly. He should still have won the third round, but he refuses not to attack with less experienced striker Chiesa. 🤷🏻♂️

Michael Chiesa never lost a fight in which he scored 3 or more takedowns, a limit he has already crossed.

I’m happy to get a sample size of Chiesa in the championship rounds, but he wants to close the show from the back …

Often fighters overload themselves with the “mixed” in mixed martial arts and get lost trying to do everything. Michael Chiesa knows exactly who he is and what he does. Your path is clear. It can be limiting, but it can also give purpose to each action.

Chiesa is tired, but on the floor he is in a state of flux

This main event really shows how skilled the top fighters are compared to some of the greenest fighters on the list that we saw in some of the previous fights.

Michael Chiesa opening a clinic against the toughest Neil Magny. A victory here would be 4 in a row for Chiesa. Another round …
