The Chicago Bears were expected to be big players in the quarterback market this off-season, and this certainly proved to be true even before the free agency and the NFL draft.
With several defenders or rumors that they are on the move this offseason, the Bears have been mentioned with all of them – Deshaun Watson, Matthew Stafford, Derek Carr and now Carson Wentz.
The Philadelphia Eagles have been getting aggressive offers from teams across the league for Wentz, and it looks like it’s a matter of When Wentz finds a new home.
There were rumors circulating on the Internet that linked Wentz to the Bears, which would make sense, given the presence of John DeFilippo and the offense of Matt Nagy. Still, they are just rumors at this point.
Naturally, Twitter had a lot to say about speculation that Wentz could be negotiated with the Bears. And for the most part, as you can guess, it was not pretty.
