Twitter is introducing a new nickname for a vice president’s first husband by starting to transfer official White House social media accounts to the next Biden government.

The tweets from President Trump’s administration, which controlled handles including @WhiteHouse, @POTUS, @VP, @FLOTUS and @PressSec, must first be archived by the National Archives and Records Administration, which will store the activity of social media accounts. The record will remain publicly available for viewing and will have the number “45” appended to the end of each loop, referring to Trump’s term as President of the United States 45.
“As soon as the filing process is complete, Twitter will transfer the institutional accounts to the Biden administration to take ownership, along with a new account: @SecondGentleman,” said Twitter in a blog post On thursday.
This identifier is for Doug Emhoff, husband of Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, who made history as the first woman on paper.
Twitter has warned users who follow official accounts that these choices will not be transferred automatically after President-elect Joe Biden and his team take over.

Instead, users will receive in-app alerts and other notices notifying them of the archiving process and giving them the option to follow the new administration, the company said.
Twitter will also broadcast Biden’s opening on January 20, allowing users to view images from various news outlets and official opening feeds.
The social media company and its competitors, including Facebook and YouTube, were criticized for their use by participants in the January 6 Capitol riot when pro-Trump supporters stormed the building. Five people were killed, including a Capitol police officer.

Twitter said it worked to ensure that the platform’s dialogues before Inauguration Day are free from calls for more violence or attempts to organize attacks anywhere in the country.
