Representative Seth Moulton (D-MA) beat Fox News Tucker Carlson on Saturday after the TV presenter mocked women in the military earlier this week.
Speaking on MSNBC, Moulton, who served in the Marine Corps, called conservative Carlson saying he “knows nothing” about being a military man.
The Democratic lawmaker added that Carlson’s comments were “offensive” to men and women.
“He doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. It’s offensive not only to women in the army, but also to men. It’s offensive to military leaders. It’s offensive to everyone who is willing to wear a uniform to defend our basic values.” said Moulton.
“And, by the way, it is also offensive to women in the workplace across America. These views would be extreme for the 1950s and it seems to be a more appropriate place for Tucker Carlson to have his talk show,” he added.

Moulton’s comments came after Carlson mocked pregnant women in the military and complained that the US military was becoming very “feminine” during his show on Tuesday night.
His comments came a day after President Joe Biden praised women in the military and acknowledged the recent promotion of two women generals on International Women’s Day.
“So we have new hair styles and maternity flight suits. Pregnant women are going to fight our wars. It is a mockery for the US military,” Carlson said on Tuesday.
“As China’s military becomes more masculine as they assemble the world’s largest navy, our military needs to become, as Joe Biden says, more feminine, whatever feminine means more,” he added, as a photo. of an Air Force officer modeling a pregnant woman The flight suit appeared next to him on the screen.
Carlson has since faced reactions from veterans and active figures in the armed forces. On Thursday, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby publicly rebuked Carlson for his comments.
“We still have a lot of work to do to make our military more inclusive,” Kirby told reporters. “What we are absolutely not going to do is take personal advice from a talk show host or the Chinese military. Maybe these people feel they have something to prove, that’s their responsibility.”
Senator Tammy Duckworth, a retired Army National Guard lieutenant colonel who lost both legs in combat injuries while serving in the Iraq War, also shot Carlson.
“F – k Tucker Carlson”, Duckworth tweeted on Wednesday. “While he practiced his two steps, American warriors hunted down Al Qaeda and proved the strength of American women.”
“Happy International Women’s Day late for everyone except Tucker, who even I can dance better than,” tweeted the Illinois senator.
In response to the reaction, Carlson responded by calling the critics “awake generals” on Friday night.

On Saturday, Moulton said he believed it was appropriate for the Pentagon to expose Carlson’s views.
“I think that, given the audience he commands, it was appropriate for the Pentagon to respond,” he said.
