President Trump’s personal Twitter account was permanently suspended on Friday – and celebrities reacted quickly to the news.
The ban came just days after Twitter blocked Trump from his account in response to the chaos that broke out on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, with Twitter saying at the time that his messages from that day were “violations of our civic integrity policy. “
Throughout his tenure in the Oval Office and even earlier, celebrities used Twitter to criticize the president and, on Friday, attacked him again to celebrate the news.

“Thanks @Twitter & the board,” said Mark Ruffalo.
“This shift through Twitter and Facebook is the biggest blow to your fascism”, tweeted John Cusack, who also referred to Facebook, which also blocked Trump’s account “indefinitely.”
