Former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort was partially closed because of a coronavirus outbreak.
Both the beach club and the à la carte dining room were closed on Friday after several employees were infected with the deadly virus. The Palm Beach club’s banquet hall and other event services remain open for now.
“As a precaution, we quarantined some workers and partially closed a section of the club for a short period of time,” a person familiar with the club’s operation told The Post, confirming the outbreak.
Trump has lived in Mar-a-Lago since he left the White House in January. His wife Melania Trump and son Barron are there with him. All three have recovered from coronavirus infections in the past year.
Members were informed of the outbreak by email, obtained by the local Palm Beach Post.
“We have already taken all appropriate response measures in accordance with CDC guidance, including activating complete sanitation and cleaning of all affected areas and all club facilities, and we will continue our intensified environmental cleaning regime,” said the message.
