Trump will use ‘his own platform’ to return to social media after Twitter ban | Donald Trump

Donald Trump will soon use “his own platform” to return to social media, a consultant said on Sunday, months after the former president was banned from Twitter for inciting the US Capitol riot.

Trump was irritated in relative silence at his resort in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, since he lost his Twitter account and the protections and powers of the post. He recently released short, combative statements that many observers compared to his old tweets.

There is also much speculation that Trump may try to create his own TV network in an attempt to reward viewers of Fox News, which was the first to summon Joe Biden to the crucial state of Arizona on election night, much to Trump’s anger.

But on Sunday, consultant Jason Miller told Fox News that social media was the immediate target.

Trump will be “returning to social media in two or three months,” Miller said to Media Buzz presenter Howard Kurtz, with “his own platform” that “will completely redefine the game” and attract “tens of millions” of users.

Trump, his supporters and prominent conservatives claimed prejudice from major social media platforms, even before the events of January 6, when five people, including a police officer, died while a crowd broke into the Capitol, seeking Trump’s insistence to reverse his defeat electoral.

After the attack, Trump was also suspended from Facebook and Instagram. Right-wing platforms, including Gab and Parler, are under intense scrutiny amid ongoing investigations into the Capitol coup.

Trump was accused of inciting the attack, but was acquitted when only seven Republican senators voted with the Democrats for the conviction.

He therefore remains free to run again and has dominated research on Republican candidates in 2024, raising impressive political donations, even as his business fortune suffers amid legal investigations.

On Sunday, Miller emphasized the influence Trump has on his party.

“He has had more than 20 senators, more than 50 members of Congress calling … or making the pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago,” said Miller, adding that the media should “pay attention to Georgia on Monday” because Trump has a “big endorsement coming”.
