COLOMBIA, SC – In South Carolina, dozens of Trump supporters gathered outside the State House on Wednesday.
They were there hours before the electoral votes were confirmed, confirming Joe Biden as the next president.
Voices raised and flags raised outside the State House. Trump supporters on a mission to defend the integrity of the election.
Trump supporter Julia Webet said: “I want our leaders in Washington to know that I am not satisfied with the way the elections were held and I believe they should be investigated.”
“Just to reinforce what we know, it was a fraudulent election and I am here to defend my vote. An illegal vote cannot cancel my vote, ”said Cathy Welsh.
And with very few protesters wearing masks, they say they are also rising up against mask ordinances.
“The masks were not made for viruses, they were made for bacteria,” said Welsh. “If they worked, why the cases are still increasing, it doesn’t make sense.”
“I just don’t think that science shows that they work. And I feel like the masks are personally more about control, ”said Webet. “I feel like it’s creating division.”
Among the crowd of MAGA hats and ‘Stop the theft’ posters, we saw balloons, the other side of the same patriotic coin.
“We are patriots. We are celebrating the constitution. We’re just here so you don’t see an ugly face from South Carolina, ”said Biden supporter Elaine Cooper.
“I’m here on behalf of Black Lives Matter,” said Tobias Walker. “And I know that Trump is generally associated with white supremacy and racism. My county voted for Biden and I’m here showing support for that. “
