Trump says he ‘expected’ Biden to fall, believes Harris can replace him

Former President Donald Trump said on Monday that he expected President Biden to fall on the steps of Air Force One – and that he also believes that Biden’s state of mind may be diminished to the point where he doesn’t understand what he is signing, opening the door for Kamala Harris to replace him.

“I expected this, actually,” Trump said in an interview with Newsmax about Biden falling three times on the stairs of Air Force One on Friday.

“When I went down the ramp at West Point, which was like an ice sheet without a grid, with nothing – great planning – I wanted to go inch by inch because the last thing I want to do is somersault like Biden did. Now that fall was terrible and it wasn’t really one, it was three. “

Trump told Newsmax presenter Greg Kelly that he believes Biden may also be in mental decline and too confused to read the papers he signs containing presidential dictates.

“There is something going on, it is crazy. What’s going on is crazy and you wonder if all the things he’s signing, whether or not he understands what he’s signing, because that’s worse than Bernie Sanders at his worst. We never thought that this could happen. Bernie Sanders on steroids wouldn’t sign what this guy is signing, ”said Trump.

Trump often said during the presidential campaign last year that Biden, 78, is mentally “lost” and insulted Democrats that they were interested in using the 25th Amendment to replace him shortly after the election with Harris.

The former president told Kelly that he still believes it is possible, recognizing Biden’s gaffe last week, in which he addressed the vice president as “President Harris”.

“That’s right. Well, a lot of people said when they brought it in because it takes a while to be instituted and when they brought it in, they said they really need it for Biden if he comes in. So we’ll see,” Trump said.

He added: “Look, I hope – this is a very serious thing and I hope it never happens”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
