President Donald Trump had a busy Christmas week between questioning the COVID-19 relief bill, forgiving war criminals and dubious friends, threatening Iran and vetoing the annual defense bill against the wishes of major republicans.
As Trump traveled to his Florida resort in Mar-a-Lago on Wednesday for the holiday, the White House announced that he would work “tirelessly” for Americans.
“As the holiday season approaches, President Trump will continue to work tirelessly for the American people. His schedule includes many meetings and calls,” the White House said in releasing Trump’s daily schedule.
On Thursday morning, Trump was heading to his golf club in West Palm Beach.
Trump’s entourage arrived at Trump International Golf Club at 10:18 ET, marking his 317th day of visiting a golf course as president.
In short, the outgoing president sowed chaos in the country’s capital, fled the city and left to work on his trip.

Although Trump said during his 2016 campaign that he “would rarely leave the White House”, he spent almost a year on the golf course as commander in chief.
The fate of the COVID-19 stimulus project, which includes desperately needed assistance for Americans who have been hammered by the pandemic, is in limbo after Trump rejected his measures.
Millions of Americans lost their jobs in 2020, and unemployment benefits promulgated in a previous COVID-19 relief package are set to expire this weekend, making another package vital to the country’s economic recovery.
Trump is spending his last days in office giving Americans a sense of uncertainty, including whether he will grant President-elect Joe Biden and promote a peaceful transfer of power.
