Trump is asking about the airport named after you, sights in Palm Beach International?

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Florida. – A senior Florida Republican official is painting the picture of South Florida becoming a place where Donald J. Trump could leave his legacy.

Sun Sentinel is reporting that Christian Ziegler’s vision includes a presidential library in Palm Beach and the renaming of Palm Beach International Airport. The airport is just over 6.4 km from the Mar-a-Lago Club, the president’s exclusive resort, which is often called the “Winter White House”

Ziegler cited the frequency with which Air Force One flew to the airport numerous times during Trump’s four years in office.

The Daily Beast reported that Trump has been asking advisers and consultants about what the process involves to obtain an airport named after a former U.S. president.

Lacy Larson, a spokesman for Palm Beach International Airport, told The Sun Sentinel that airport officials have not received questions about the name change. To change the name of an airport, it would presumably require a vote by the Palm Beach County Commission.
