The consent decree refers to a March agreement reached by Democratic and Republican state officials who it gave voters the opportunity to correct the ballots that contained an alleged incompatibility between their signature as it appears on their ballot and the signature that electoral officials have on file.
Trump and his allies argued in several failed court cases that the consent decree was illegal because the decision did not involve state legislatures.
