Truck stolen during home invasion theft in recovered rural SLO

San Luis Obispo County sheriff officials say a pickup truck that was stolen during a home invasion robbery in rural San Luis Obispo last weekend was found abandoned at a gas station on Wednesday morning in San Jose.

The theft was reported on Saturday afternoon at a home on Block 1700 on O’Connor Way.

The elderly resident told investigators that the suspect took money from her home and stole her truck.

Through forensic evidence found at the scene, sheriff officials said they had managed to identify the suspect as Johnny Jesse Roman Jr., 38, of San Luis Obispo.

A warrant was issued for Roman’s arrest. If seen, the sheriff’s officials say you should call 911 immediately.

Sheriff’s officers say the victim and the suspect did not know each other.
