Trevor Lawrence prepared for shoulder procedure, must be ready for training camp

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is expected to undergo a repair to the left labrum that should not affect his preparation for the 2021 season, his MGC Sports representatives told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The procedure, on his no-throw shoulder, must come after Lawrence – the No. 1 choice projected in this year’s draft – plays for NFL teams on February 12, officials said.

Doctors are confident that Lawrence will have recovered in time for the training camp, officials said, adding that Lawrence will not be attending Clemson’s pro day in March.

The Jacksonville Jaguars holds the No. 1 choice in the draft and must choose Lawrence, which would mean that he would play for the new NFL coach, Urban Meyer.
