Trevor Bauer took a whole week to be stupid on social media again while Noah Syndergaard put the hammer on the floor

After the Twitter war, there will be a title fight if Trevor Bauer faces Noah Syndergaard this season.

We already know that Trevor Bauer is a big idiot and that Mets was lucky when he rejected them to take the $ 102 million from the Dodgers, but the current National League winner Cy Young took the lead on Friday and demonstrated once again that he is much more dumb than he thinks he is.

It all started with a happy Mets spring training photo, which Noah Syndergaard quoted with a joke about how Bauer apologized for raising New York fans’ hopes and promised charitable donations as a way to fix things.

For the uninitiated, this is subtle. Syndergaard did not mention Bauer by name, did not mark him, did not attempt to interact with him in any way. Some prior knowledge is needed – in this case, not much, but still some – to know what the tweet is about. And by tweeting like that, it’s clear that Syndergaard isn’t looking for a showdown with Bauer.

Naturally, Bauer noticed and, as usual, went ahead and tweeted with quotes from Syndergaard, putting himself in a situation where he was clearly prevented from participating.

As sarcastic as it was, Bauer ended with wishes for good luck, however insincerely they may read, so maybe it’s a sign of personal gro-hahahahahahahaha, of course not, he hasn’t finished tweeting.

It is here that it is clear that Bauer does not understand. Beyond Bauer’s obvious kettlism – Trevor Bauer! – calling someone to launch personal insults online, there is a galactic difference between Syndergaard responding to trolls on his own Instagram feed and Bauer’s pattern of inciting people with quote tweets, thereby releasing the horde of idiots, idiots and incels that hang in every word of yours to go and harass someone.

Should Syndergaard be calling someone a “bitch” on Instagram? No. “Stupid?” Not either, but less severely. If you’re going to make the mistake of responding to someone cursing you online, “idiot” isn’t really crossing the line, but it doesn’t look great either. He should be saying that an Instagram troll who twice calls him a “tool bag” should show his wife a shirtless picture of him, and then maybe he would have sex, but was she thinking about Syndergaard? He sure should! This is hilarious and probably also true … and the part that Bauer most objected to.

Syndergaard and Bauer sang back and forth a little more, with Thor getting the knockout blow bringing up the antics of Bauer’s drone and terrible music. Bauer could only respond timidly, “You have a date for you.”

The Mets and Dodgers don’t see each other until August, when they play on consecutive weekends, first in New York and then in Los Angeles. Will someone’s butt be in the jackpot then?

I can’t wait to find out.

Perhaps Twitter is more powerful without words.

This is Mets’ new pitcher, Taijuan Walker, celebrating the end of his free agency with a bottle of red Tom Seaver’s vineyard. Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 has “vast aromas of blackberry, oolong the and pine branch … a symphony of juicy black fruits and notes of exotic spices framed by a profile of refined silky tannin, a touch of mineralogy and a pleasant acidity”.

Look great.

Now we understand why Anthony Edwards was the number one choice.

Wow.
