Train hits Texas with 18-wheel truck

A train collided with an 18-wheel truck outside Cameron, Texas, on Tuesday morning, police confirmed to Fox News.

The train, which was carrying oil tankers, exploded as a result of the accident, and authorities labeled the accident a hazardous material situation, according to the Cameron Police Department.

The police received the report about the accident around 6:45 am CT and sent mutual aid to the first aid at the scene.

Both the train driver and the truck driver survived the accident without serious injury, local media KXXV reported.

Police are evacuating nearby houses and telling people in the area to avoid Highway 90.
