Lord of the Rings: Gollum Video Game

Do you know the story of Lord of the Rings. What you don’t know is the full story of the hobbit formerly known as Sméagol, who went mad with the One Ring and now struggles with himself thanks to Gollum’s malicious personality. Video game creators Daedalic Entertainment will explore the full story of the creature in Lord of the Rings: Gollum, and a new trailer gives us a taste of the stealth gameplay that will make you sneak silently through Middle-earth.

Athletic and agile, sneaky and cunning. Driven by the desire to once again have what he lost in his hands, Gollum is one of the most fascinating characters in the world of The Lord of the Rings.

He saw things that others cannot imagine, he survived things that others would not dare to mention. Divided by his divided personality, he can be cruel and villainous like Gollum, but social and cautious like Sméagol.

While vital to JRR Tolkien’s story, many parts of Gollum’s quest have yet to be told in detail. In The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, you can experience this story. From his time as a slave beneath the Dark Tower to his stay with the Elves of the Dark Forest.

As you can see in the trailer above, you will move Gollum through a variety of fantasy environments using stealth, agility and cunning. To pass dangerous creatures or through deadly scenarios, you will have to climb, jump and fight. And even if Gollum isn’t exactly a skilled warrior, there will be more creative and villainous ways for Gollum to defeat enemies.

Since Gollum also has a split personality, every decision you make will influence your mind. You can give in to the darker side of Gollum or you can try to preserve the goodness and spark of reason left in what was once Sméagol. It all depends on you in this adventure that takes place before Lord of the Rings start.

Lord of the Rings: Gollum is scheduled to be released for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch and PC sometime in 2022, but there is still no exact release date.
