Traditional media parrots widely published the ’60 Minutes’ report in DeSantis, Publix, without noticing reactions.

Leading media outlets and liberal experts are echoing the widely criticized “60 Minutes” report by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, R., gave the supermarket chain Publix preferable treatment to offer the coronavirus vaccine based on their donations to the PAC.

The “60 Minutes” report drew criticism from Democratic state officials and conservative members of the media, but the criticisms were ignored when covered by other media.

Axios published a report, “Governor of Florida conflicts with ’60 Minutes’ over the launch of the COVID vaccine”, and cited “60 Minutes” without mentioning the massive reaction that the segment received or Moskowitz’s denial. Business Insider also echoed the “60 Minutes” report without noticing Moskowitz’s reaction or denial, but managed to quote a county commissioner who called the implied speculation by CBS News “absolutely false and offensive”. The Huffington Post published a similar report without mentioning much of the criticism surrounding the “60 Minutes” segment.

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, the younger brother of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, decided to join as well and tweeted the video “60 Minutes”, which was accused of stealth editing.

“We need to have a fair exchange with those in power,” Cuomo I wrote.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid shared the same misleading clip and said it was “a good time” and that DeSantis “looked nervous”.

Publix called the notion that it received special access “absolutely false and offensive”.
