Touching images captured the moment that an 80-year-old man saw in color for the first time after his grandchildren gave him color-blind glasses at Christmas.
Lee Meason, from Springville, Utah, was filmed exclaiming ‘are you kidding?’ while trying on the pink glasses and was surprised to see colors and tones he had never seen before.
‘I see different things than before!’ he told family members as he looked around the room and down at the shirt he was wearing.

The video begins with the 80-year-old sitting in an armchair opening a box.
“Colorful tech glasses,” he says, with an amused smile on his face as he lifts the lid.
A woman’s voice is heard off camera saying, ‘Yes, I remembered.’
A male voice is heard saying, ‘They should be really nice. Open them up, try them out. ‘
Meason then takes the pink glasses out of the box and passes them to someone nearby while saying ‘wow’.
He comments that he ‘could fly a jet’ with pink aviator sunglasses while his family tells him ‘they look cool’.
Meason takes the glasses and puts them on.
He looks around in shock for a few seconds before saying ‘are you kidding me?’ how he sees color for the first time through special lenses.

The woman is heard asking, ‘Are you kidding me? Do they really work? ‘
Meason looks around the room with an expression of astonishment on his face.
“Look at that lamp over there,” says the woman.
‘Wow, yes, I didn’t know it was like that!’ exclaims Meason.
His family members, very happy, say that they now ‘have to teach him colors’, as they start pointing things out of the camera and telling him what color they are.
‘Are you kidding me? Where the hell did you find these ‘Meason exclaims again from the glasses, while everyone laughs happily and he keeps saying’ wow ‘and’ ahh ‘.
The 80-year-old man tries to absorb everything, looking around the room and at the ceiling before looking at his arm and his green printed shirt.

“I didn’t know it had different shades,” he says, touching the fabric.

The family also can’t believe what they see, with the woman asking, ‘I’m just wondering if they really work?’
Meason replies: ‘They do! They do! I see things differently than before. ‘
The 80-year-old’s son wrote on Facebook that the glasses were a Christmas present for his grandchildren.
