Torrential rains will be possible over the weekend

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – The unstable weather continues in Lowcountry today with lots of clouds and some passing rain. We will start mostly dry this morning with the chance of sparse rain increasing this afternoon. Today’s maxims will be in their 60s. Showers are possible this morning before drying overnight. Thursday will be one of the driest days next week. Despite the predominantly dry climate, the clouds will continue to spread with just a few peaks of sunshine from time to time. The maximums will be in the range of 60 degrees above about 70 degrees. A cold front will approach the area on Friday bringing a better chance of rain and cooling us. We will probably start with temperatures close to 60 in the morning and drop to 50 degrees in the afternoon. The coldest weather will likely remain with the clouds and rain this weekend. The maximum will be in the 50’s.
