Tori Spelling shared that the April Fool’s pregnancy photo she shared on Instagram was meant to be a joke and her way of turning the tide in the press by embarrassing her after having five children.
Spelling shared a photo and simply, “No. 6 ”on Instagram. She is holding her belly so that people immediately think that she is pregnant. But the next day, Spelling made a statement about the photo, sharing that several media outlets continually ask if she is pregnant. So the joke should be about them. However, she received messages that her action was harmful.
Tori Spelling understands why some people are upset
“Every week, magazines and news outlets ask if I am pregnant. To clarify, I’m not, ”Spelling shared in a note on Instagram. “The fact is, after my fifth baby, my body has not recovered as before. It was then that the constant questions of ‘one more’ pregnancy began. ”
“Unless you’re in the public eye, it’s hard to understand what it’s like to be ashamed of your body so publicly,” she continued. “I feel like I have to constantly defend my body when, instead, I should honor it for the miracle of life that it has provided me five times.”

“I know that pregnancy is an extreme blessing,” added Spelling. “And I would never knowingly scoff at losing a child or not being able to carry him. I even miscarried.
Turning the tide in the press
“My post was simply to turn the tide once in the press,” she concluded. “They constantly create wild and often painful stories about me, my body and my family. For those of you who are hurt, I hear you. I love you. I welcome your stories and I will try my best to support you. please accept this as a virtual hug to my entire community. T xoxo. ”
Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott also dealt with their children being bullied and embarrassed. In 2019, the couple’s son was violently attacked on social media when he was photographed in a family photo. Online hatred and trolling comments devastating the child and the whole family.

McDermot countered the hateful comments by telling people that they should be ashamed of themselves for their comments about children. “I am absolutely horrified and disgusted by the comments made about my children,” he wrote. “Shaming the body and intimidating my children ?? !! What’s wrong with you? “
“People come in all shapes and sizes,” he added. “So, who are you to judge. You should all be ashamed of making such horrible judgments about beautiful, innocent children. Shame on you all !!!! Thank you to all the people who came to our defense. You are all compassionate souls. Down with the enemies !! Get up with love !! “
