Topps announces set of 50 Trevor Lawrence cards, including 20 created by QB’s brother and sister-in-law

Star quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Topps announced an exclusive deal to produce a box of 50 cards to be launched in April.

The 50 collectible cards will have an exclusive design, 20 of which will be created by Lawrence’s brother Chase and sister-in-law Brooke, who are professional artists. Lawrence is projected as the No. 1 pick in the NFL’s 2021 draft next month and is the most winning quarterback in Clemson’s history.

“I’m excited to be working with Topps on this really unique set,” said Lawrence. “Chase and Brooke are extremely talented artists and it is special to collaborate with them on these personalized designs.”

The market for collectible cards, especially novice cards, has increased over the past year, and demand for Lawrence’s cards is presumably very high.

“There are so many things that make Trevor unique, including his incredibly talented family, and Topps was the right partner to bring that to life,” said Alan Zucker, partner at Excel Sports Management and Lawrence’s marketing agent.

“This unique collection offers fans a souvenir that they won’t be able to get anywhere else.”

The set of 50 cards will include a mix of oil paintings, digital representations, autographed pieces and inspiration from previous Topps designs. The 20 cards created by Lawrence’s brother and sister-in-law were inspired by the 1960s and 1970s, as well as illustrations of comic books and comic books.

The exact release date is not yet known, but Topps says it will be in April, close to the draft season, which starts on April 29. The Jacksonville Jaguars was widely designed to select Lawrence as the first overall choice.
