It’s time to relax newbies who have never tried Raid before. BOCW brought back a perfect Call of Duty map, but if you are someone who has never had the privilege of enjoying Raid, here are our tips for taking advantage of its potential.
What would we change about Raid to make it the masterpiece of a map? It’s a trick question, because physically you can’t make this map any better – hence why Treyarch brought it back.
This extravagant Hollywood home is strangely the perfect setting for a proper shooting. From the multimillion-dollar property to the exotic pool and immaculate sports car. The brightness is evenly distributed across the map in several ways, and we will try to break it down for you.
Best tips for mastering Raid in BOCW
1. Avoid water
It is definitely one of the most exclusive and interactive elements of this or any map. But you are quite helpless in the water; if you are seen in it, then you are just a helpless fish waiting to be caught.
But even if you’re not, people are experienced enough to know how to keep an eye on a secret water ninja. You also don’t get much benefit from water, as it takes you as far away from the action as possible and Raid is not a suitable sneaky map type.
2. Basketball court
Do not enter the hut immediately next to it, as it is an obvious point of access for disasters and enemy players will immediately lock it to sniff you.
Instead, you should use the cover of the walls that enter / leave the field, as you will have a perfect view of the water, the upper room that people like to use and anyone who moves under the house.
3. Use all the cover you can for the statue channel
This channel is not just a legal channel, it is one of the great channels, as there is a lot going on for it. You have the upper windows, the paths below / beside them, the statue, all the decorative architectural stones around, the cars, the vans and even a path connecting to the middle of the map.
This shows that you do not always need a large map to be full, but to ensure that you are not a victim of fullness, you must constantly use the lid to move forward. You can walk right through each other without ever knowing that there were two there. The cover is strategically positioned for a reason, use it.
4. The top window of the room
As we mentioned earlier, if you’re playing Search & Destroy or something similar, getting to this room is essential.
Being behind a glass window and against the back wall of the room, visibility is quite limited. So when enemies are showing up on the basketball court, or sneaking into the cabin, or somewhere else on the other side of the map, take advantage of your inadvertent cover.
5. The medium
Another part of the medium that can really determine how well you do. Crossing right in the middle of the section containing the tree is incredibly risky, as you will be properly visible from four different directions – but if you are leaning here during S&D, then it can be different.
But if you manage to get to the other side, sit in the corner briefly or patrol up and down that corner and earn some easy kills from enemies running through the middle or the sides.
