Tomb Raider 2 Fan Remake V1.2 adds photo mode, volumetric lighting and more

Last month, we shared some new images of Tomb Raider 2 Fan Remake, Tomb Raider The Dagger Of Xian. And today, we are pleased to inform you that a new version is available for download.

According to Nicobass, version 1.2 adds a new rendering of water simulation, as well as new volumetric lighting. In addition, the game now uses Unreal Engine 4.21 and has a photo mode.

It is also important to note that this new version of this remake of Tomb Raider on Unreal Engine 4 comes with a number of performance improvements. It also allows more interaction with the foliage, adds new models of cadavers, brings small improvements to Lara’s animations and much more.

  • Switch from Unreal Engine version 4.15 to 4.21
  • Photo mode added to the pause menu, snapshots are saved to C: Users YourName AppData Local TombRaiderDOX Saved Screenshots WindowsNoEditor
  • New water simulation rendering (can be turned off in the graphics options)
  • New volumetric lighting (can be turned off in the graphic options), but it should also make some indoor environments a little lighter
  • The scalable edges should be more visible with some white decals (can be adjusted or turned off in game options)
  • New alternative costume added to the rewards menu (to play, just select it in the clothing menu before starting a new game)
  • More character models added to the rewards menu
  • New fish models reacting to the player’s movements
  • New models of corpses
  • Minor improvements to Lara’s animations, especially when she starts and stops running
  • Lara’s body shape adjustments for something a little more realistic
  • More interaction with foliage, especially for the cave and underwater area
  • Best crow animation in the first cinematic
  • Redo the audio reverb system
  • Underwater particle improvements
  • Kick and interact now on the same entry because the previous kick entry will be used for something else in the future, as in Tomb Raider Underworld (reset the link configuration to the default state to see the correct entry name)
  • Tiger will move backwards if Lara is caught between him and an obstacle
