Tom Selleck is a generous guy.
The “Magnum, PI” actor left a $ 2020 tip on a bill of just over $ 200 at the Elio restaurant in New York.
Selleck’s benevolent gesture was revealed by his “Blue Bloods” co-star, Donnie Wahlberg.
“I found out that my #TomSelleck TV dad generously accepted the # 2020TipChallenge on the Elios Upper East Side!” Wahlberg wrote in a tweet on Wednesday. “I love you dad. I didn’t start it, but I’m proud to be a part of it. For those who gave even the smallest extra amount this year – THANK YOU. “
Wahlberg also posted a note from Selleck that said: “I am honoring my friend Donnie Wahlberg’s ‘cutting edge challenge’ with my sincere hope for a better 2020”.
Wahlberg, whose parents worked in the service sector, is known for giving huge tips. On January 1, Wahlberg’s wife, Jenny McCarthy, shared a photo of an IHOP receipt on which he had given $ 2,020. And last month he presented the same amount at a restaurant in Massachusetts.
James Corden and Adele also participated in the ‘tip challenge’ that started when a Michigan server, Danielle Franzoni, received a $ 2,020 tip on a $ 23 bill.
