Tom Holland reveals ‘Spider-Man 3’ title after trolling fans

The third film “Spider-Man” has its official title: and it is not “Phone Home”, “Home-Wrecker” or “Home Slice”.

The real title of the latest installment in the superhero franchise is “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” Tom Holland revealed on social media on Wednesday morning. Holland and his co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon appear in a 30-second clip, which begins with Holland leaving director Jon Watts’s office and regretting being given a fake title for the film.

“He gave us a false name again … I just don’t understand why he keeps doing it,” asks Holland.

“You do not understand? I feel it’s pretty obvious. You ruin things, ”jokes Batalon, provoking the star’s reputation for sharing details of superhero films before they become public knowledge.

“I don’t spoil things. Tell me what I really screwed up, ”counters Holland, while Zendaya retorts:“ The last title in the film ”.

The camera then zooms in on a whiteboard displaying a series of potential titles, with “Spider-Man: No Way Home” displayed in the center.

The film from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios is due to be released in theaters on December 17, 2021.

On Tuesday afternoon, Holland and his “Spider-Man 3” co-stars, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, posted photos never seen before in the next film – and announced three different titles.

Holland read “Phone Home”, referring to the 1982 film “ET”, Zendaya was “Home Slice” and Batalon’s presented the title “Home-Wrecker”. Since the first two Spider-Man movie titles incorporated the word “House”, it seems that the actors were finding the most ridiculous options involving the word and running with them. Fans soon discovered that they were being duped due to the dry subtitles of the cast.

“I’m very excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to, ”wrote Holland.

“We are excited to share the TITLE of our new film !!” Batalon said, adding lots of emojis. “Slide to the right for the big reveal !!”

“I’m very excited to announce the new Spider-Man title,” wrote Zendaya. “I am very proud of this… FOS is back!”
