Tom Holland confirms that Spider-Man’s contract is ending after there is no way back home
Following yesterday’s official title reveal for the next third MCU Spider man film, Tom Holland finally opened up about his future as the favorite hero of Marvel fans. In a conversation with Collider, the 24-year-old British actor confirmed that his contract with Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures will end after Spider-Man: no way home. However, despite that, he remains committed to continuing to play the iconic hero for as long as he can and will instantly come back for more if the studios decide to bring him back.

“[Spider-Man 3] it would be my last [under contract], ” Holland revealed. “So, I always told them that if they want me back I’ll be there in a heartbeat. I loved every minute of being part of this incredible world. It changed my life for the better, I’m very lucky to be here. If they want me back, I will be there; if you don’t want to, I’m going to walk until sunset like a very, very happy person because it’s been an incredible journey.
About the possible disagreements that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures may have again in the future if they decide to continue doing more Spider man films together, Holland replied, “As I understand it, the agreement between the two studios has already happened. I don’t think they will have the same problems they faced when we were entering … was it Spider-Man 2? Away from home he left and then everything happened between Sony and Marvel. I think the two studios solved that, and I don’t think that will be a problem in the future. That said, I’m just the actor and I participated in a few phone calls during that process, but I think they love working with each other, I think they’ve found a way in which it can be beneficial for both studios, and I’m like a kid in the middle in addition, between two parents during an argument (laughs). “
In a separate interview with USA Today, Holland also confirmed his plans after closing No Way Home, revealing that he is planning to take a necessary break from acting to travel the world.
“I’m going to take a break and travel the world,” He said. “It’s the first time since I signed [Spider-Man: Homecoming] that I don’t have a contract with anyone. I can go skiing because that is something that I was not really allowed to do, because it is obviously a dangerous sport. I have been very careful over the years, which is why I became obsessed with golf, because it is the only sport I can practice without getting hurt. “

Tom Holland will return to Spider-Man: no way home as the titular wall tracker alongside Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, going against Jamie Foxx’s Electro. Given the end of Far from home however, many members of their rogues’ gallery are probably also looking forward to a fight. The third installment for the MCU Spider man films will also feature the return of Zendaya (Euphoria, Dune) as MJ.
While most of the cast from the original series is expected to return to the trio, the Foxx cast further confuses the lines of Sony’s three franchises, with the previous edition bringing back JK Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson from the Sam Raimi trilogy and Sony from the Marvel Universe studio of characters led by Poison expected to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe series soon.
After Jamie Foxx’s Electro addition, many cast rumors circulated, including the potential involvement of Doctor Octopus, another Spider-Man villain Alfred Molina, and more importantly, the potential return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to the Spider Verse. The most recent rumor about the cast is that Charlie Cox signed on to reprise his favorite fan role as Daredevil.

Originally scheduled to launch on July 16, 2021, Spider-Man: no way home was first postponed to November 5 and will now be suspended on December 17, 2021.
