Tom Cruise’s property in Telluride, Colorado – which is full of sporting amenities worthy of an action star – is returning to the market for $ 39.5 million.

Ultra-private, the approximately 320-acre property is located at the end of a kilometer-long closed garage that is surrounded by a forest of Aspen trees. It is bordered by a national forest on three sides and is just minutes from the center of Telluride. Located on a hillside, the property is on an elevation that allows the owner to see planes arriving at the nearby airport, agents said.
“Everyone knows who owns this property, but you can’t see it from almost anywhere,” said Mr. Dockray.

Mr. Cruise spent several years designing and building the native stone and cedar house, which was completed in 1994. At approximately 10,000 square feet, the four-bedroom house was designed in a classic mountain style, with wooden beamed ceilings, paneled walls and stone fireplaces. There is also a three bedroom guesthouse on the property.
Activity-oriented features include a large sports court, a snowmobile and snowmobile track and an extensive network of hiking trails, snowshoes and off-road vehicles. There is also a spa, an office and a three-car garage.

A spokeswoman for Cruise did not respond to a request for comment on the reasons for the sale. The agents on the list said they believed the actor had not used the house in a long time. They noted that the market in Telluride has been extremely active in recent months as a result of the Covid-19 crisis, with buyers coming from the country’s main cities.

Cruise, 58, has appeared in films such as “Top Gun” and the “Mission Impossible” franchise. He was recently filming in Europe.
