Tom Brady talks about the launch of the Lombardi Trophy for the first time

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady first commented on his legendary Lombardi Trophy toss to tight end Cameron Brate during the team’s boat parade at the Super Bowl LV.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, posted an 8-bit version of himself in his Instagram story. Brady was shown playing the trophy while on the boat, and he had some fun with his comment on the photo.

“The most risky pass I’ve given all season,” wrote Brady with two smiley-faced emojis.

It was Brady’s first comment on the trophy launch since Lorraine Grohs, daughter of Greg Grohs, the goldsmith at Tiffany and Company from 1967 to 1994, who created the first Vince Lombardi Trophy, demanded an apology from Brady.

“I personally would like an apology, not just for me and my family and the other goldsmiths, but for the fans, all the football fans and the other players on the team,” said Grohs at the time.

“I was upset that this trophy was dishonored and disrespected for being played like a real football,” added Grohs. “I have a great history with this trophy being made by my father and it is an honor and I know all the craftsmen who did it when my father was also there at Tiffany’s and it requires a lot of hard work.”

It doesn’t look like Grohs will get an apology from Brady anytime soon, especially after he has already shared his thoughts on the bid on his Instagram.

It seems that the legendary quarterback is having a great time this off-season, with his recent posts on social media asking what he should do in the next five months and keeping all the revenue from his biggest critics throughout the season.

Brady and the Bucs achieved a 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl LV.
